Um dos documentos mais antigos do movimento cristão. Estima-se que o Didaquê tenha sido escrito antes das cartas de João e do livro de Apocalipse, e talvez ainda antes de outros livros do Novo Testamento.

11.5 And he shall stay one day, and, if he need be, the next day also, but, if he stay three, he is a false prophet.

Trad: Qualquer apóstolo que vier até vocês não deve permanecer mais do que um dia, até dois se for necessário; se permanecer três dias, é falso profeta.

11.6 And, when the apostle goes forth, let him take nothing save bread, till he reach his lodging,but if he ask money, he is a false prophet.

Trad: Ao partir, não leve o apóstolo mais do que comida, até encontrar abrigo novamente. Se pedir dinheiro, é falso profeta.

11.8 But not every one that speak in that spirit is a prophet, but if he have the manners of the Lord.By their manners then shall the false prophet and the prophet be known.

Trad. Nem todo aquele que fala no Espírito é profeta, mas apenas aquele que tem a conduta do Senhor.

11.9 And every prophet that teach the truth if he does not what he teach , is a false prophet.

Trad. Se oprofeta que ensina a verdade não age de acordo com o seu ensino, é falso profeta.

11.12 But whosoever shall say in the spirit: Give me money, or any other thing, ye shall not hearken to him: but, if he bid you give for others that are in need, let no man judge him.

Trad. E qualquer um que afirmar no Espírito “dê-me dinheiro”, ou qualquer outra coisa, não lhe deem ouvidos, contudo, se ele lhe pede a contribuição para benefícios de outros que estão em situação de necessidade, que ninguem o julge.

Realmente, a história tem muito a nos ensinar!
